Apple's implementation uses the App Attest API combined with DeviceCheck. Google uses the Play Integrity API combined with Key Attestation. Samsung adds Knox attestation. POY validates the attestation certificate chain before any biometric processing begins. If attestation fails - because the device is an emulator, is rooted, or has been tampered with - enrollment is refused.
