What Is PoY Identity?
PoY Identity is the foundational product of the POY Verify ecosystem. It is a cryptographic credential that proves you are a real, unique human being on the internet. Unlike traditional identity verification that requires uploading government IDs, sharing personal information, or submitting to invasive biometric scans that store your data on corporate servers, PoY Identity verifies your humanity using hardware sensors inside your own device - and never transmits or stores any biometric data anywhere.

How It Works
1. Biometric Scan
Your phone's camera and depth sensors perform a 30-second liveness check. 468 facial landmarks are analyzed. Blink detection, nod detection, and micro-movement analysis confirm a real human is present.
2. On-Device Hashing
Your biometric data is processed entirely inside your device's Secure Enclave (Apple) or Titan M2 (Android). A SHA-256 hash - a one-way mathematical fingerprint - is generated. The raw biometric data is immediately discarded.
3. Key Generation
An ECDSA P-256 cryptographic key pair is generated inside the Secure Enclave. The private key never leaves the chip. The public key is registered with the POY verification network.
4. Credential Issued
You receive your PoY ID - a unique, portable credential that proves you are a verified human. Share it on your profiles, embed it in your content, use it across every platform.

What Makes It Different
Zero Data Architecture
No biometric data is ever transmitted to any server. No personal information is collected. No database exists to breach. Your biometric scan is processed inside a physically isolated chip (Secure Enclave) that even the operating system cannot access. The only output is a cryptographic hash - a random-looking string that cannot be reversed to reconstruct your face or any other biometric feature.
How Companies Use It
Platforms integrate PoY Identity through a simple REST API. Two endpoints cover most use cases:
- POST /api/poy/verify - Verify a user is a real human. Returns a trust score (0-100) and verification status
- GET /api/poy/check - Quick boolean check: is this PoY ID verified? Returns in under 50ms
Platforms can set custom trust score thresholds for different actions - require 70+ for financial transactions, 50+ for posting content, 30+ for viewing. The 6-signal trust system gives companies granular control over risk without any personal data handling.
