What Is Reputation Passport?

Reputation Passport is a portable trust identity that carries your verified reputation across every platform on the internet. Today, when you join a new marketplace, social network, dating app, or freelance platform, you start with zero reputation - zero reviews, zero history, zero trust. Every platform treats you as a stranger regardless of the reputation you have built elsewhere.

Reputation Passport changes this by creating a universal trust credential backed by your PoY Identity and Trust Score. When you join a new platform, your verified reputation travels with you. Buyers can see you are a trusted seller. Employers can see you are a verified professional. Community members can see you are a real, established human being.

Why Reputation Should Be Portable

The current model of platform-specific reputation is broken:

• Lock-in - Platforms use your reputation as a retention mechanism. Leave Uber and lose your 4.9 rating. Leave Airbnb and lose your Superhost status. Your reputation is held hostage.
• Cold start problem - Every new platform requires you to build trust from scratch. An eBay seller with 10,000 positive reviews starts at zero on Mercari. A Fiverr freelancer with 500 five-star reviews starts at zero on Upwork.

How Platforms Integrate It

Integration takes a single API call. When a new user signs up with their PoY ID, the platform queries:

• Trust score - 0-100 composite score
• Verification signals - Which of the 6 signals are verified
• Account age - How long the PoY identity has existed
• Content stamps - How many pieces of content the user has stamped as human-made

The platform then applies its own business logic: skip onboarding friction for high-score users, apply standard flows for medium-score users, and add extra checks for low-score users. The result is less friction for trusted users and better fraud prevention for suspicious ones.
