Emergency ID transforms your PoY Identity into a universal emergency verification credential. When you lose your wallet, your phone is stolen, your passport is at the hotel, or you are in a foreign country without physical identification, Emergency ID provides a way to verify your identity using only your biometric presence - your face, on any device.

Traditional identity verification requires physical documents. When those documents are lost, stolen, or inaccessible, you are effectively identity-less. Emergency ID ensures you always have a way to prove you are you, because the proof is tied to your biology, not a piece of plastic.

Security Safeguards

Emergency ID includes multiple safeguards to prevent abuse:

• Rate limiting - Emergency ID can only be activated a limited number of times per period to prevent brute-force matching attacks.
• Notification - Every Emergency ID activation triggers notifications to your registered devices and emergency contacts.
• Limited scope - Emergency access is temporary and read-only. It cannot be used to change passwords, transfer funds, or modify account settings.
• Audit trail - Every Emergency ID event is logged with timestamp, location, device fingerprint, and the requesting party's identity.
